Physical Education
Areas of Study


The Department of Physical Education aims to develop the students capacity to think logically and critically through the study of all the factors which affect human motion during physical exercises and sports.

The curriculum of Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education is designed to train and develop competent professionals who will perform as teachers, trainers or coaches in the field of physical education. It also promotes the student's competence, interest and participation in physical activities through formal instruction as well as practice in a wide variety of team and individual sports. Another aspect of the program focuses on helping the student maintain fitness, enjoy leisure activities and assume roles as leaders in recreational activities.

The Department also sponsors one dance group that performs regularly on Campus and throughout the island, a Boy Scouts Troop and a Gimnastics School.
