Call for Proposals 2014 Caribbean Celebration of Women in Computing

The organizing committee of the 2014 Caribbean Celebration of Women in Computing (CCWiC 2014) is pleased to invite women students and professionals in fields related to computing to participate in the CCWiC 2014, which will take place on February 26-27, 2014 in Puerto Rico.

The CCWiC 2014 is part of the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Regional Consortium, a series of events where technical women gather to network, find or be mentors, create collaborative proposals, and increase the visibility of women’s contributions to computing. The 2012 Grace Hopper Celebration attracted over 3,500 attendees from 41 countries.

Submissions were sought from areas of research/technology in all fields related to computation, as well as professional development sessions for attendees at all career levels.

Presenters were encouraged to submit proposals that highlight the contributions of women of the Caribbean to the field of computing and that provide a forum to discuss issues relevant to women in computing and ways to encourage younger women into the field. The CCWiC 2014 Call for Proposals closed December 16, 2013. Authors will be notified about acceptance after December 20, 2013. View your proposal status in the CCWiC 2014 Submission Portal.
