10.2.8.1 Alphanumeric Atoms

An alphanumeric atom is written as a lower case letter (a-z) followed by a sequence of zero or more alphabetic characters (A-Z,a-z), digits (0-9) or underscores (_). Note that characters in the upper half of the ASCII table are treated as lower case letters in alphanumeric atoms. For example:
