I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 25, 1969. I grew up in a town name Guaynabo where I went to school until I turned 15 years old. By that age, I met the girl who became my wife 5.5 years later. I was selected among the best student to participate on special project in math and science at University Gardens High School, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. I became a member of National Honor Society at school. I became a math competitor among Puerto Rico Island, and won the Third Place at the Second Iberoamerican Mathematics Bowl at Uruguay. I graduate from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Campus (UPRM) on December of 1991 from their Electrical Engineering program. I licensed shortly after at the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. I went to graduate school at the University of Virginia , where I obtained my MSEE and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
