Karina N. Martínez Reyes was born on November 26, 1997 on Manatí, Puerto Rico. Raised in Arecibo, she graduated on May 2015 from the Industrial Electronics Workshop of the Vocational High School Antonio Lucchetti. On her high school years she participated on research and mentorship programs, summer internships at NASA/Ames, California and MIT Haystack Observatory, participated of local robotics competitions and national competitions of robotics and automated technology, in which she gained 4th place at a national level. She is on her second year as an Electrical Engineering student at University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. On January 2016 she formed part of the Tech. Carnival she participated as part of the "Operation Pancho" development team.
