Project: DIAMETER

Description:

DIAMETER is the continuation of the already implemented RADIUS (Relay Apparatus for Detecting Incorrect Usage of the System) Micro2 project. Utilizing four different types of sensors, misuse of the system will be detected and logged. We will be integrating a diagnostic system to better help the electric wheelchair technician figure out what repairs need to be done. With database integration and the diagnostic program, a single technician can monitor N number of devices and, using the data recollected, determine remotely their eligibility for service and which service is required, saving time and money to the MDA (Muscle Dystrophy Association).

Project: Baby Smart Seat

Description:

Baby on board is an initiative to reduce the rate of deaths of children being left unattended in vehicles under extreme conditions. This device will be able to detect the presence of a baby on the car seat and determine if the environment inside the vehicle is harmful. In case parents have left the baby or one of the sensors indicate a measure out of the acceptable parameters, the device will activate a key chain alarm to notify parents. An additional notification, including location of the baby, will be sent to a Control Center to contact parents or pertinent authorities.
