CID Invoice Calendar System

Invoice Calendar System will help the UPRM Research & Development Center (CID for its acronym in Spanish) oversee the compliance of contractual agreement of agencies awarding funds for researches. It will also help in the coordination across multiple departments within CID facilitating data entry regarding a project, money accounts assignment, tracking of reports submitted to agencies, and deadlines approaching. Different entities will be able to filter and receive notifications of which projects need immediate attention to prevent loss of funds.

Gradar - Improvement of Moodle Services

Gradar consists of various different tools with the purpose of improving the Moodle experience for educators. These tools include an integration program for data transfer between Moodle and Google Spreadsheets, an event rescheduler for students that need to retake an exam or quiz, a rearrangement of the activity progress log that professors use to monitor the activities of their students, and a digital watermark on exam exercises in an effort to reduce plagiarism and answer sharing.

CIQA Temperature and Relative Humidity Report Automation

CIQA provides validation staffing services in Puerto Rico. One of the servicesthey provide is cleanroom validation by monitoring the parameters of interestwhich are temperature and relative humidity. The data is gathered from theenvironment using USB data loggers. The data has to be manually extractedfrom the data logger to an external storage, usually a computer, and tabulatedto then proceed to the analytics and report generation, making this a tiringprocess. The current solution is slow and error prone, taking 5 days toproduce and very rigorous and repetitive inspection. CIQA will like to increasethe number of projects they perform per from 15 to 25 projects. Due to thelack of scalability of the current solution, the company (CIQA) limits itself onthe amount of projects they can deliver. Another issue is that when a clientneeds a faster response time from CIQA, CIQA has to spend resources notpreviously considered, having to pay overtime to its employees, increasingthe labor cost of generating the reports by 50%. That is why we propose todesign and deliver a computer system to automate part of the process for the cleanroom validation projects, from the data loggers information extraction upto the report generation.
