Project: Fall Detection System |
Description:The Fall Detection System’s purpose is to accurately detect falls in a person and alert emergency contacts. Using pattern recognition methods, an embedded system will be in charge of detecting if a fall occurs. When an emergency is detected, data will be sent to a phone running Android OS through a Bluetooth module embedded in the portable device. The Android application will then be in charge of sending text messages to the emergency contacts. After this process has been completed, the Android application will send the needed emergency information to a web application which will provide authorized users the ability of generating several reports and revise a log of a patient’s falls. |

Project: EyeSpark |
Description:EyeSpark brings to users a new and innovative way of interacting with computers. It allows users to control their mouse and keyboard with only their eyes and head. EyeSpark consists of a head mounted device and an application running on the users computer. The head mounted device tracks eye and head movements and sends the information to the user's PC via USB. The EyeSpark application captures this information and uses it to create the mapping of eye and head gestures to mouse and keystrokes. Users can fully customize the mappings and tie them to specific applications, allowing EyeSpark to work with a variety of applications. |
