Biografía


Nayda G. Santiago is professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus (UPRM) where she teaches the Capstone Course in Computer Engineering. Since 2006 she is member of the Computing Alliance for Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI) where she trains undergraduate researchers using the Affinity Research Group (ARG) Model. In 2014 and 2016 she directed the 1st and 2nd Caribbean Celebration of Women in Computing, part of the ACM-W celebrations project. Dr. Santiago is also NCWIT academic alliance member, Henaac, SACNAS (former board member) and senior member of the Latinas in Computing (LiC) organization. Dr. Santiago has been awarded 2017 CRA-E Undergraduate Research Faculty Mentoring Award, 2008 Henaac Educator Award, 2008 Distinguished Computer Engineer of the CIAPR, and Distinguished Alumni.
