Biografía

Reniel Irizarry was born on November 14, 1997 in the city of Mayagüez at Puerto Rico. He graduated from the Residential Center for Educative Opportunities at Mayagüez or better known as CROEM on May of 2015. Reniel spent all of his high school years motivated and focused on different researches which helped him to acquire great opportunities such as mentorship programs, classes focused in the growth of professional research skills and summer research programs. During the summer of 2014, Reniel was selected along with five other students to participate in a REU experience at North Carolina State University with Prof. Tiffany Barnes (Computer Science). After attending at such Research Experience, Reniel was hired by Tiffany Barnes through North Carolina State University as a mentor for computer science research conducted in CROEM that following fall semester. The next summer, Reniel was also selected to participate of a Pre-College program called PRECIP at NCAR/UCAR in Boulder, Colorado. His research areas during his high school years were focused on robotics, physics, computer sciences and atmospheric sciences. Reniel is currently in his sophomore year studying Software Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. On August 2016, Reniel started his undergraduate research experience forming part of the Embedded System's team, Tech. Carnival, as webmaster.
