Service at the University

I belong to several committees at the department level. 

I am a member of the ECE Graduate Committee, the Communications and Signal Processing Committee and the CISE Committee.

I also belong to special interests groups such as FemProf and the Engineering Education Community Forum (EECF).

Service in the Community

I am very committed to encouraging participation of underrepresented groups in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, therefore I volunteer my time giving talks on Electrical Engineering at K-12 schools on a regular basis, being a Science Fair judge/advisor at local schools.

I am also committed to scouting, and I participate in local troops as a Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Leader and a Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master. 

Service in the Field

I also enjoy participating as a reviewer for several journals, conferences and magazines in the area. Both from IEEE and ACM. Recently, I've been a reviewer for the following conferences:
IEEE ICC, IEEE GlobeComm, ISCI, among others. 

I've also participated as a reviewer for the National Science Foundation in the area of Communications and Signal Processing.
