As part of the CAHSI practices, different researches, at undergraduate and graduate level, are being developed in the Caribbe Circuit institutions. These researches have been mainly led by the professors associated with the Circuit in conjunction with others co-leaders professors and founding institutions. The researchs are mainly focused in the computation and computer engineering areas; covering areas as: information processing, embedded systems, video games, apps developments, robotics, system integration, among others.
The UPRM is recognized as a leading undergraduate research institution within the CAHSI consortia. Currently, the UPRM develops approximately 8 research projects with around 49 members among which are undergraduate and graduate students. These investigations are guided by Dr. Nayda Santiago through the ARG model which seeks not only to teach technical skills but also those required for cooperative work.
