This Control Systems area studies the mathematical modeling of dynamic systems, their properties, and how to use controllers to change their behavior. Emphasis is placed on continuous and discrete systems in applications on manufacturing processes automation. Implementation of automation and control on a physical system is required to complete this area. The courses required in the area are described in this table. Students must take one course marked as RE and one course marked as R prior to taking the MDE course for a project related to the control area.
